POMODORO TECHNIQUE

Have you ever heard about the pomodoro technique? It is a very useful time management technique these days when we do several things at the same time and rarely do any tasks with real presence.

Basically the technique consists of dividing the time into 4 blocks of 25 minutes. In each block, the task must be carried out in a concentrated manner, without interruptions or distractions. After this period, you are allowed to take a 5-minute break. After completing the 4 blocks, the rest interval should be longer, 30 minutes. According to Francesco Cirillo, Italian creator of the technique, the objective is to avoid procrastination and increase productivity.

The technique may seem simple, but it is powerful. It allows you to see what has been taking your focus, how much time a task takes and best of all, it avoids a common attitude of recent times, which is doing several things at the same time, most of them “in an automatic mode”. How many times do we start a task and start passively scrolling through Instagram?

From the moment we wake up, there are thousands of distractions that keep us from what we have to do and the pomodoro technique, as simple as it may seem, allows you to start and finish something with concentration. Ideal for those who have little time, excessive distractions and sometimes feel like they are unable to manage everything. One block at a time, one task after another and you realize that not only can you do it, but you can do your tasks very well. We hope the technique helps you study for your classes!
