Career Coaching and Emotional Intelligence: learn to be more confident

Career coaching and emotional intelligence offer the following benefits:

Coaching is a methodology that helps to achieve your goals, allowing you to improve, personally and professionally. Coaching helps you to prepare an action plan with: defined goals, a list of tasks and a calendar to evaluate your progress. With a coaching process you can attain your goals faster and easier. The coach asks questions that are necessary to answer in order to look at problems from a different perspective, and to discover new solutions. It’s very important to keep in mind that the solutions come from you, not from the coach.

So, a career coaching process is for people who have a real need to make a change in their jobs and lives, people who really want to improve. This need for change stimulates commitment and motivation and ensures that the person will be able to put into practice what they need to do to achieve their goal.

A coach can help people who have a goal in mind, people who have at least some idea of what they hope to achieve and who want support in making this goal a reality. In other words, people who are ready to do something to get what they want.

Coaching involves change, and for change to occur, there must be action, for without action, nothing happens. The coaching process does is help people find the way to achieve excellence.

What Meritxell’s clients say:

“I realized I’ve got many more resources than I thought I had and now know when and how to use them. When I started, I was a small seedling with a great desire to grow. Now I’m a young tree that wants to put down more roots to absorb all the food necessary to make my leaves and branches stronger and produce new ones.” Dr. Cristina Pellicer, Thoracic Surgeon and General Manager of Medicus Gaia

“I’ve learned that true power lies in trust. Coaching has helped me improve my self-esteem and I’ve learned to recognize and regulate my emotions (fear, anger, bad moods ...) and it’s also helped me recognize the emotions of other people. I feel I can be myself, supported by values that make me feel strong, yet at the same time flexible (like an olive tree, with solid roots and flexible branches).” Álex Marques, General Manager of Conectium

“She invited me to dedicate some time to myself, to think about finding solutions to a new situation I’d never experienced before and didn’t understand.” Moritz Carretta, Family Banker and Supervisor in Banco Mediolanum
